USA. Middle/high school program in English and Spanish to prevent dating violence and abuse. Incl. classroom sessions, poster contest, and a play. Teaches about attitudes, gender roles and behaviors that constitute dating violence and abuse as well as skills in conflict resolution, finding help, and bystander behavior.
USA. Program for middle school students to prevent dating and peer violence and sexual harassment, and promote positive bystander behavior and prosocial attitudes towards violence and harassment. Involves a school-wide component and a classroom component.
SWEDEN. Free helpline offering anonymous consultation and referrals for those concerned about their sexual interests and/or behaviors. Preventell is run by ANOVA, the department of Sexual Medicine at the Karolinska University Hospital.
SLOVAKIA. Free, anonymous 24-7 helpline that can be accessed by phone or via email. Emails can be addressed to a specific counselor and are responded to within 48 hours. Counseling addresses a variety of concerns, including problematic sexual thoughts and behaviors.
NETHERLANDS. Education and resources including information for parents and help for people who are concerned about their own sexual thoughts and behaviors involving children. Also provides free, confidential helplines and chatlines for parents, professionals, and people seeking help.
SWITZERLAND. Offers individual and group therapy for adults and teens with sexual interest in children, whether an offense has been committed or not. FORIO, whose aim is to prevent abuse, covers the cost of treatment except for those court ordered to receive treatment, which is financed through the justice system.
CZECHIA. Clinical services, helpline, and online counseling for both non-offending and offending individuals who have atypical sexual interests causing distress to themselves or potential harm to others, including those engaging in risky sexual behavior online. Organized by the Center for Sexual Health and Interventions of the National Institute of Mental Health.
NORWAY. Services for adults with a sexual interest in children who do not want to offend. Does not provide for people who are under investigation for sexual offenses. Outpatient services available at five hospitals. Individuals can anonymously talk to a counselor and book treatment appointments.
